Pcman sidebar: where has the filesystem icon gone?

I have had no luck on Google and can't find a man page for Pcman file manager.

My install of Pcman (#!Cb Statler1 - Debian Squeeze) doesn't have a file system icon in the left-hand sidebar. I am sure it did before in the previous version running on 9.04.
To access the file system I currently have to enter the menu bar > Go > Computer > File system which is rather a roundabout way to achieve things.

The preferences do not offer any customization in this context. Am I missing something very simple?

After comparing Thunar, I have just realised that there doesn't seem to be any tree view option either! Strange!

Re: Pcman sidebar: where has the filesystem icon gone?

Which version of pcmanfm?? The "new" pcmanfm (0.9.x) is a bit different from the older 0.5.x - branch. Since 0.9.x still isn't as functional as the old version, i also kept the old one.

For the filesystem-thing, it' s easy to put a bookmark in the sidebar, but compared to 0.5.2 there's still some things missing...
