To system update or not? Sound-juicer crashes

I am currently running statler openbox on an acer ng260 nettop. Like 9.04, it works really well, nice and snappy and stable.

Today though I had to install, remove and reinstall sound-juicer because when I select the extract button the application crashes i.e. closes and  returns me to the desktop. The play button however works and plays the selected cd.

Could this in some way be related to the fact that since installing Statler, I have not updated my system? I am always reluctant to bork a perfectly functioning setup!

Re: To system update or not? Sound-juicer crashes

@snowpine. Thanks for the suggestion about updating. Will ponder that one.

I didn't know that sound-juicer could be crashy. I have installed abcde in the meantime following a suggestion in a recent cb post. It looks good. A command line script.

Thanks
