Hello,
I am quite new to both #! and Debian. My problem is that my Toshiba laptop doesn't connect to the wireless network after resuming . After restarting it is back to normal.
Here are the details of my system.
Linux crunchbang 3.2.0-4-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.2.41-2+deb7u2 i686 GNU/Linux
Also, the wifi-card in question was not detected when I installed #! . I had to manually download and install the driver for it to work.

Does the card work again after you modprobe the wireless module manually?
sudo modprobe rtl8723e

Its looks the module is loaded.
`--> lsmod | grep rtl8723
rtl8723e 163387 0
rtlwifi 100668 1 rtl8723e
mac80211 171389 2 rtlwifi,rtl8723e
I noticed this in the kernel messages.
[ 447.675571] wlan0: authenticate with xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (try 1)
[ 447.677283] wlan0: authenticated
[ 447.678096] wlan0: failed to insert Dummy STA entry for the AP (error -17)
For now, I am using the tether via usb from my phone. Need to get longer Ethernet cables

Install the latest kernel from experimental to see if the problem is solved with that kernel.
See this post for instructions.
This is non-destructive. You will be able to boot into your current kernel as long as you don't remove it manually.

I am having the same problem, but unlike OP, the following instruction did not work on mine. I have the same wireless adapter as him, I am using a Toshiba Satellite C850-B559

sudo modprobe rtl8723e
this is what I get after I did what you instructed
sudo modprobe rtl8723
FATAL: Module rtl8723 not found.
also, when I run rfkill this is what I get:
rfkill list
0: hci0: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
I found other thread about wi-fi problem but they all have their wifi or wlan detected

Hi dave13,
most of the activity here has now moved to the BunsenLabs Forums. I think you'll get better help if you sign on and post your support question again over there.
