Historical Screenshots (oldest or older, pre-2010)

I just want to see your oldest (or older, say pre-2010) screenshots, the older the better! Unfortunately I'm travelling right know and don't have access to my pre-2012 backups :-(

But bring forth the files!

Re: Historical Screenshots (oldest or older, pre-2010)

@twoion, I never saved my screenshots. I just uploaded them to an image hosting site. Sadly, I, and many others, chose ompldr.org back in the day, and that site went the way of the dodo.

Very good idea about this thread! I searched a lot for old Linux screenshots on the net but I found nearly zero. neutral

Re: Historical Screenshots (oldest or older, pre-2010)

I think that if you search by the codename of the release, you might have better luck.  I've been able to find screenshots of Debian Buzz, but that's only going back to 1996.

^ That's a common problem when a show is set twenty minutes into the future.  Remember how the Jetsons said we'd all have hovercars and commute by pneumatic tube? lol

I can't even remember what my first OS looked like. All I know is that it could play Dig-Dug.

^ My cousins had us both beat.  I'm not sure if it had any operating system to speak of, but I remember playing Pong on an Atari game console.

I know the engineer who built the original Spectrum. I'll ask him if he has any old screenies, next time I see him.
