echi-orion

Yeah, I would have gotten bl up quicker, but I kept getting a "module echi-orion not found in modules.dep"  The live system would not come up

Yes, I always use dd to install  an iso to a usb key, have to for years following VastOnes howto either here or at VSIDO.  I am staring at 5 different keys.  I played around with lmde mint, two versions of sparky, etc.

But lately using two different computers , two different sticks  bunsenlabs 64 and also siduction indian summer lxqt - 64 bit   -  all combinations used so far give me an end at  busbybox  (initframs) when trying for the live session.

Yes I have viewed on Siduction   http://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=4155.0

I suppose I could start doing it the "cat" way.  i.e.

cat /path/to/siduction-*.iso > /dev/USB_raw_device_node
cat /home/username/siduction-11.1-onestepbeyond.iso > /dev/sdf

Another idea I have is to format the usb stick(s) to fat32 to and then try dd again.  Some of these sticks have been dd'd a few times, I know that should not make any difference with dd, but I am out of ideas

BTW, I finally got Bunsen up and running on /dev/sdb1 (/dev/sdb1 is /home).  I definitely will be moving and editing the .conkyrc and the key bindings over to Debian8.1 lxde on /dev/sda1

peace out

Re: echi-orion

I used gparted on one usb to fat32 and then dd worked.

It still puzzles me.  Various machines, deb bunsen and sparky.
