Pithos. A pandora client for Linux. I love it. No ads. Ever.
Anyway I have a custom station called "Nightcall Radio" that someone mentioned years ago somewhere on the internet. I've tweaked it a bit by telling which songs I like and which ones I don't. So I get a nice mix of artists such as:
Muse
Silversun Pickups
The Xx
MGMT
Radiohead
Tegan and Sara
Koop
Kavinksy
Cake
The Knife
and so on.
I've also added in some artists who do piano / violin work. The mood switch from something alternative to a nice relaxing piano piece helps keep things interesting.
Right now it's playing a song called Deep at Night by Adam K & Soha.

Also, Pithos is just a frontend for pianobar. So, if you want the same thing on the console, just use pianobar. It's great, either way.

I was unaware of that. Does it pull album cover info also? Can I integrate it into conky?
EDIT: Well a quick google search answered those questions.
1. Cover info: Big fat can of NOPE
2. Conky: Possible but difficult. There are pre-existing scripts for integrating Pithos into conky that I will look into.

@ hhh
One thing that really sets my blood to boil, I click on some links and they don't work.
For example the two above, "Disney" in their infuriating wisdom saw my IP Addy and assumed that what I really wanted was:
http://videos.disneylatino.com/ (which you probably can't get to) They were wrong of course!
changing that to:
http://video.disney.com/ took me right back to http://videos.disneylatino.com/
ARRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
So not only do they assume that's what I want, they will NOT ALLOW me to see anything else.
I remember when one type in (pasted in) a URL that's where you went. Those were the good old days when I got to choose for myself not a script choosing for me.
Soooooooo you know what Disney can do.
When I say I want http://someplace.com I want: http://someplace.com - I do NOT want
http://someplace.com.ar
http://someplacela.com
http://someplacelatino.com

That is a great Johnny Cash cover of the NIN song. I love all his work.

It has nothing to do with the software and everything to do with the fact that Pandora only serves the US, Australia and New Zealand in order to comply with the DMCA...

Dug into my vinyl rips and made a CD to play in my car. Best of AC/DC, Anaconda Edition. Funny thing about that. All the selections I ended up using feature Bon Scott. Don't know about anyone else but I just like them better with Bon than with Brian.
Had fun listening to all those earlier albums to pick out the best stuff.

I've always found myself unable to listen to instrumentals that, to my ears, lack an interesting audiological component and just loop a hook repetitively until the end of the song. It's probably why I never spent any time in dance clubs.
