Using compton with shadows to go with the borderLess terminals, solarised light theme (bg altered to match Arc)
@Nili: I've tried `xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources` & `xrdb ~/.Xresources` before restarting both urxvt and tint2 to no avail
empty@Arch ~ % cat .Xresources
URxvt.iconFile: /usr/share/icons/Moka/24x24/apps/utilities-terminal.png
empty@Arch ~ % xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources
empty@Arch ~ % killall tint2 && tint2 &

Instead of URxvt.iconFile mine is with asterix "URxvt*iconFile:" also try a .svg icon file instead of png format.
I have rxvt-unicode installed and tested, never tried other rxvt names.

Slow day today ... played with conky ... took a nap ... woke up ... posting what I did.
If you don recognize them, they are tweaked BunsenLab default conkys - the one on the right is my ~/.conkyrc that pops up is if I start a bad conky ... you know me and my typos.

Fixed the letter spacing issue in urxvt and changed the colours slightly:
EDIT: Terminal colour scheme is here: http://terminal.sexy/#-fr7Vl5lHCAjx66Vl … Wula7H-fr7
(ashes.light with backgroung & color15 changed to match the Arc background colour)
@Nili: Both "*" & "." are acceptable separators in .Xresources/.Xdefaults and changing it has no effect
It also doesn't work with an .svg icon.
It's not a tint2 problem 'cos it doesn't show the custom icon in xfce4-panel either.

Just a slight difference from the one on the right.
The tweaks done are relative to my computer with lm-sensors, nvida etc.

URxvt is known as well not having icon itself. At least i had the opportunity to change via Xdefaults on Debian Wheezy.
Never tried on Jessie because I changed the way of using Window Manager on my current Debian to tiling as you know.
Sorry mate, i have no more clue what's goin on Those generic icons on apps are one of the reasons that i left openbox/tint2.

In the taskbar, the application is responsible to set the correct icon. In the launcher, tint2 is responsible for the icon.
Fixing such problems in tint2 is technically possible but difficult.
A workaround is to use wmctrl and this script: https://github.com/benizi/dotfiles/blob … et-icon.py
Here is how I change the Google Chrome icon:
while true ; do for w in $(wmctrl -l | grep 'Google Chrome$' | cut
-d ' ' -f 1) ; do set-icon.py --img
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/google-chrome.png --id $w ; done ;
sleep 5 ; done
You will have to change the regex (Google Chrome$) and the icon path to whatever you need.

The new BL penguin looks really nice in that conky.

I so-o-o love your wallpaper. I spent some time in Japan during my time in the military and your wallpaper brings back fond memories of the country. I especially love the countryside and the trains.
