bunsen-on-archlinux

Edit 2015-06-09: Update links to point to aur4.* instead of aur.*
--
As many  of you may have noticed, there is some various BunsenLabs stuff available for easy installation on Arch Linux through the AUR. To summarize, the following BunsenLabs-related packages have been created by me, and I am going to maintain these (based on current information) indefinitely.

bunsen-images

Related to our bunsen-images repository. Provides wallpapers and other artwork.

bunsen-themes-git

Related to our bunsen-themes repository. Provides the GTK+/Openbox/Lightdm themes.

bunsen-openbox-pipemenus-git

Collection of Openbox pipemenus from the BunsenLabs Linux project.

bunsen-common-git

Shared shell scripts used in various BunsenLabs packages, typically required by other packages.

This is where I maintain the PKGBUILDs for the above-mentioned packages. If you have bug reports or requests, leave a comment on the AUR or on this repository's issue tracker.

Re: bunsen-on-archlinux

I have packaged bl-pipemenus for Arch (see the OP). Some things will be broken, for example Arch has no x-www-browser symlink so menus using this won't work. As I can't make any assumptions as to what browser people are using, I won't make patches for this -- users are asked to write roll their on smile

Re: bunsen-on-archlinux

Although I'm not an Arch user, that was thoughtful of you to do that.

Re: bunsen-on-archlinux

ditto. This is really cool @twoion. I installed arch and had it up and running (super fun) , but spent all my time on my #! install googling how to fix my CentOS7 server. Something like that would kill two birds with one stone if I get it up and running. Thanks for keeping an eye on that!

Are there any plans to recreate johnraff's "Sub-alpha" script for Arch?

No -- if you can install Arch then you can set up an openbox environment very easily (it's just a case of using `makepkg -ics` on twoion's AUR packages).

No.

Perhaps you could do it yourself without too much trouble by making a PKGBUILD for bunsen-configs. The configuration for some software however might not work with the software versions in the Arch repos, so I see comaptibility problems down the road.

bunsen-exit-ng-git has a typo - depends on dmenuv when it should be dmenu smile

No the dependency is correct. It depends on my own dmenuv, which is dmenu plus a gravity patch (and a mouse-support patch). dmenuv is being provided by dmenuv-git.

It can but doesn't work with dmenu since the script assumes that the -w and -g switches are supported which are my additions.

Maybe I should let it depend on dmenuv-git directly so that the dep is clickable though. Maybe I'll change it.

Ah, thanks, right after I typed the initial message I realized. Oops.
