I decided to go ahead and deface that nice Bunsen2-Blue-Dark theme... (sorry hhh)
it's Bunsen2-Gentoo-Dark now
(It's exatcly like bunsen2-blue, but replacing #4a90d9 with #958ead, and #5c8ab8 with #7a739d. )
As you can see, I didn't dare touch damo`s wallpapers... bad juju.ps: I think my sister is gonna like it.
ps2: I think I need to make them a little darker now...
Hehe. Don't blame your sister. You know you like it

I'd be stuck in London traffic all day long in that and I love to lean (no chicken strips on my tyres) so that would be no fun...

Nothing new here. Just my Jessie netinstall hard at work scanning photos with Xsane for a video I produced today for my dad's memorial service. Openshot did manage to produce me a valid video without crashing. It does spam .xsession-errors continuously though and the full screen repaints were pretty brutal. Overall, I'm happy I was able to get it done and using 100% FOSS.

Loving the hydrogen emission spectrum tint! I think Tara Strong would approve as well.

Yes I could do that, but I'd have to make a lot of changes (I'm using all those wallpapers) to prefer the blues aftwerwards...
Edit: Is anybody else using xfce with openbox as a wm? When I use the scroll wheel to switch between workspaces it skips one (it goes from 1 to 3, or from 2 to 4). Any ideas?
Edit2: my workworound for the time being is using an odd number of workspaces... 8o
Edit3: after verifiying the same would occur with xfce4.12 I solved the problem by ditching it and using mate with openbox, and they're working perfectly.

@pingu
The desktop pager from xfce usually places the desktops in two rows, one above the other, and openbox is appearantly not seeing it.
So if you have 4 desktops, in xfce's pager it will look like this:
1 2
3 4
In my openbox rc.xml the mouse wheel is set to "go to" "next" or "previous" desktop. I haven't tried that yet but if you still want to use xfce and openbox you could check what it says in yours in section "<mouse>" "<context name="Desktop">". Or you could check in xfce's desktop pager if you can change it the number of rows to 1.

I'm curious - why use a DE and a WM?
XFCE + OpenBox or Mate + OpenBox vs just OpenBox

^ I also find tiling in OB more flexible, with "GrowToEdge" funtionality, and easy to configure.

I wanted something that would record sessions.. and I ended up trying that, but their window manager is ugly (xfmw) so I replaced it with openbox. But now I'm back to plain openbox because I hated having to wait for it to load. And when I want to record a sessoin with the running applicantions I can just run xfce4-session within openboxy anyway.
(clifs: tested it, didn't like, back to "minimal")
Edit:Also, I was using it for the random wallpaper switch thing, but now I'm using a script for that.
Edit: an unrelated side note: I've found that lxdm loads faster than lightdm or slim. Idk, maybe because of the way they handle my monitor setup (the lapop monitor and a widescreen external monitor). Slim and lightdm use the fullscreen external monitor and mirrors it in the smaller one (what I think may take an extra moment), whereas lxdm just loads the laptop monitor and mirros the smaller image on the larger monitor (keeping the same resolutions it booted with)... 8) or maybe its just faster.. idk..

OK, I agree that for every DE a WM is required (mostly built into the DE), but one can run WM's without a DE. I was just asking out of curiosity. We all have different likes/dislikes styles and ways of doing things ... imagine how boring it would be if we didn't?
One can install components from XFCE4 without XFCE. For example In Waldorf: (deleted the not installed except for one):
08 Mar 15 | 13:44:09 ~
$ ser xfce
alias ser = aptitude search
i A libxfce4ui-1-0 - widget library for Xfce
i A libxfce4util-bin - tools for libxfce4util
i A libxfce4util-common - common files for libxfce4util
i A libxfce4util4 - Utility functions library for Xfce4
p xfce4 - Meta-package for the Xfce Lightweight Desktop Environment
i A xfce-keyboard-shortcuts - xfce keyboard shortcuts configuration
i A xfce4-mixer - Xfce mixer application
i A xfce4-notifyd - simple, visually-appealing notification daemon for Xfce
i A xfce4-panel - panel for Xfce4 desktop environment
i A xfce4-power-manager - power manager for Xfce desktop
i A xfce4-power-manager-data - power manager for Xfce desktop, arch-indep files
i A xfce4-screenshooter - screenshots utility for Xfce
i A xfce4-volumed - volume keys daemon
08 Mar 15 | 13:44:20 ~
$
and most of those I can delete ... I don't use mixer, panel, power-manager, screenshooter or volumed
I added "qasmixer" that acts the same as volumed and mixer and I'm running a desktop so why do I need power-manager?
However saying that, they came with Waldorf, so they are here.
qasmixer -
I love it - here it's open and the icon in Tint2 - roll the mouse wheel on the icon to change volume

Hmmmmm lxdm isn't in the repos to even look at it.
Too many edits to follow ... where are you now?
Record sessions ... have you tried: recordmydesktop - with or without: gtk-recordmydesktop

OH good ... if it's in SID probably in Jessie too ... Nope not in Jessie
That's built for Debian SID but not in the SID repos. Nice site -- bookmarked - Thanks.
OK, screenshot thread - with a test conky.

I thought it was because upon clicking the link to the package I read this line:
Repository: Debian Main amd64
but I didn't check in the actual repos.
edit: nice scrot btw
edit2: yeah, but there is this line too:
Description: unavailable.
so this explains it...
