Anyone working on this? Layout etc
What about an offset login panel like the default waldorf, to accommodate dual monitors? This implies a plain background as well to prevent stretching. (AFAIK lightdm doesn't support tiling in the gtk-greeter)

Anyone working on this?
Didn't hhh have a themed LDM login somewhere? So many threads it's har...
Ah here: http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic. … 01#p418601
Looks well underway, though the widget is still mid-screen. We'll want to match the background, and grub's background, with whatever gets chosen as the default wallpaper I guess.

Yup, the themes hhh has provided us with so far each include a gtk-3.0/apps/lightdm-gtk-greeter.css. There's also a couple lines in the main gtk-3.0/gtk.css file defining the lightdm foreground and background colors, possibly as fallback if the greeter-specific .css isn't there/found.
Incidentally, the button colors for the shutdown and reboot dialogs in his dark theme could use a little less color.
/* Shutdown button is red on hover */
#shutdown_button.button:hover {
background-color: shade(@error_bg_color,0.95);
}
/* Restart button is dark yellow on hover */
#restart_button.button:hover {
background-color: shade(@warning_bg_color,0.75);
}
Not sure if this was intentional on his part or simply a holdover from the original theme he started with. (I'm assuming he didn't write the entire theme from the ground up.)

^I haven't paid much attention to it, to be frank, and I've never set the dark theme on my setup for LightDM. I need to do more testing when I have time. I want to focus on the Openbox theme next, I hate the "handles" on the bottom bar, and I'd like some hover effects on the buttons. Thanks for the tip, noted.

Come to think of it, something might need to go in the bunsen-configs package.
Does the GTK theme configure everything about LightDM that needs to be configured?

No. LightDM has its own config, /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf where the theme. font, clock format, wallpaper, panel buttons, etc... are set, so a default config is needed here. Also, the settings in /etc/lightdm.conf are available, though the defaults seem fine to me.
