What do you prefer: stability (CrunchBang) or living on the edge (Arch).
Both have their pros and cons.
There is also "#! Animal" - that's #! (Debian) Stable taken to #! (Debian) unstable - or SID.

Crunchbang, go with Crunchbang.
if you want a bleeding edge archbang, build your own with arch proper!

Yes both thank you very much!
Time to move on!#

I have to agree with CSCoder4ever - build ARCH the way you want it and add the "crunchy" stuff

@Oday: Before you try Archbang or try to create your own crunchy spin with Arch the Arch way, why don't you reinstall #! Waldorf and then update to #! Animal, i.e., unstable/SID, as suggested by Sector11? There are numerous how to upgrade in the #! forums, but first check Unstable upgrade.
FWIW, I've been running unstable for several months and it's been rock solid.

@op
I see you have edited the thread title to crunchbang vs archbang vs viperr
All of them use a "crunchified base" aka Openbox + Tint2 + Conky
So here is how i see it:
Crunchbang is based on Debian stable, rock solid and very well polished with a smooth ootb expierience (thanks to corepa) but comes with outdated (stable) software. Package Manegement is handled with apt/dpkg (Console) or synaptic (Gui)
Archbang is based on Arch which is a rolling release with bleeding edge software, solid if you can handle it but very basic and not polished at all. Package Management only with pacman on the commandline.
Viperr is based on fedora the community branch of red hat linux. The software is pretty up to date (rolling release also) and it has some rough edges (localization for example). Package Management via yum (Console) or yumex (Gui)
It comes down to what you prefere. Stable or bleeding edge software and what type of Package Management.
Freedome of choice
came for the distro, stayed for the community

And to complicate your choice with more options, you might consider Manjaro Openbox: openbox/tint2/conky on an Arch base with a bit more polish than ArchBang.

Hmmm... I just tried that. Very pretty, but nothing works. Even installing Firefox is a PITA.
@op: I'm also using Viperr, and very happy with it.

No "Animal" download link.
Download #! v11 and take that to sid. There are some HowTo's (and some DON'T DO's) on the form. Have a look around, one recently updated HowTo to get you started
EDIT: Out Ninja'd by the great damo! I type slow!

linuxbbq - "sidbang"
As a moderator and a devoted fanboi of CrunchBang, I wholeheartedly endorse this recommendation. Going from Stable to Testing to Unstable is a long, labor-intensive process, often fraught with stumbling blocks, speed bumps, rapids, herds of ponies buffalo...mass hysteria. Much easier and saner to start with something that has been scratch-built from a netinstall like sidbang.

Arch-proper would be faster and lighter than all of these, especially Archbang.
but as pvsage suggested, sidbang from linuxbbq might be what you want.

That of course completely depends on what you do with your "Arch-proper".
