Hey
Is there a program that can pull the events from Google Calendar and work offline, like Sunrise Calendar for Android..only for..Crunchbang?

Can't Sunbird do that? (EDIT: now discontinued - look at Lightning instead)
What about Evolution?
Google Calendar?
click the Offline link at the top of the calendar and you are prompted to install Google Gears. It's a Firefox add-on and after doing this, return to Google Calendar and click the Offline link again. This time you'll be offered the option to enable offline access. When you are offline you can open Google Calendar in read-only mode by clicking the icon on the desktop. It's a shame you can't add appointments, but you have to be online to do this.

Thanks gimpbanger
About Google Calendar - either their documentation is outdated or this option is country based (seems unlikely?..) because I'm outside the U.S. I've looked everywhere.
Do you happen to use Evolution? I did sync it with Google Calendar but it doesn't give notifications

I use Lightning with Thunderbird very effective on Windows, connecting to Gmail and Google calendar. I would think this would work the same way on any Linux distro (since Lightning is an add-on).
