Quick qustion:
Is it permissable to post scripts/ solutions and configs form other distros that work for Crunchbang?
Just want to be sure I am not breaching any kind of protocol here before I do.
Thanks guys and gals

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... If I get you correctly, I would say it's oke as long as the scripts aren't harmful and as long as you don't violate any license.
Can you explain what you mean in a little more detail?

@tdlam -- I do this all the time and no one's told me off yet...
Just don't recommend mixing sources, adding PPA's or upgrading libc6 in Wheezy/Waldorf...

Sorry,
What I mean is that say on another distro they have figured out to have a working log on sound or maybe a wallpaper changer...
If I was able to get it to work for Crunchbang, is it ok to post here or is that a no no?
I probably shouldn't have said scripts as truth to tell I'm not able to write any my self. bad choice of words on my part.

You should ask the original authors if they mind, respect any licenses they have in their scripts, and give full credit to where you found the scripts. Most people don't mind sharing, but taking without credit is just not polite.
