Depends on the hardware, if it runs Intel Haswell processors probably not.
Anyone want to make a tenkeyless keyboard*?
*It's probably cheaper to buy your dream keyboard than make it!

Well I reached 140 again... but at that speed, the MX Browns lose "feedback" - a bit like typing on clouds.
As Quickfires aren't exactly cheap, how about a regular Cherry?

I imagine the regular cherries should be fine. Could look into a ducky!
Are you looking into finally buying blues?

^ I can't find a single keyboard online that is a Latin America "latam" layout.

^ You sure you don't want to get a blank keyboard? ]:D
according to WASD Keyboard's custom layout guide, you could make a latam layout keyboard! unless latam is the same as the spanish layout, I'm not sure. 8o

^No they are different. I have a "latam" keyboard now, a 14 year old MS Internet Keyboard Pro...
One difference I know about is to the left or the [1] key I have a degree symbol - ° - the Spanish keyboard has little line under it: º For me that's [Alt Gr]+[Shift]+m.
Here's what my keyboard can do, I'm not a touch typist - so a different layout would really mess me up.

^ I can try to whip up a custom layout similar to that if you want 8o
it would be good for me to learn how to use inkscape, Also would you prefer a tenkeyless or do you want the numpad?
taking things off topic a little: I've seen at least a million of threads like these. And I'm tempted to make a fix thread on how to fix that, should I make it in the tips, tricks, and scripts section?

I already have a blank keyboard. Post #6 right here. What I was looking for was a mechanical keyboard with a "latam" layout. They don't sell them here anymore - just Spanish keyboards which is very strange. I have a couple of really cheap, lighter than feathers, "Spanish" keyboards, one is Genius the other Sentey. they are "horrible" to use ... stayed out of the boxes for all of 5-10 minutes each I think.

I honestly would imagine though that since your keyboard is an ISO layout, if you we're to get a blank ISO keyboard from wasd, it would the same way, unless I'm missing something. :8

^ Trust me I was only on a fact finding mission here.
Problems with customs and exorbitant exchange rates for overseas credit card use and a minimum markup of ±100% means I'm looking a ±3000 pesos for a US $150 keyboard.
Exchange rate is ±8.40 at the moment = 1260.00 pesos plus markup: 2520
Except the card rate is 11.367 for an end of 3410.10 pesos
Currency exchange rate conky:

$ calc 8.40*150*2

$ calc 150*11.367*2
3410.100

Ew who would put a touch screen on a keyboard? wait... MicroS would.
Another thing you could do is just pick up any ol' ISO keyboard and get some custom keycaps for it 8o
Because I'm sure you can pick up a mechanical for cheaper than that locally 8o

Are you looking into finally buying blues?
Yep.. when I searched for "Ducky blue", I got this
"This is not the actual book cover."
---
Ducky MX blue seems expensive around here, about 100-150 euros. But looking at some Cherry reviews you get what you pay for. (though i've seen many complaints on 170+ euro DAS keyboards as well)

Hey don't blame me, I was just doing a comparison thing here. Those 'touch screens' are pretty radical ... but that board isn't MS - unless MS makes Razer boards.
IF (when) this old thing dies if I haven't found a good one I like I still have those two cheap Spanish boards that came free ... use one of those with a "es" & "latam" switcher until I get another good one. Also note that this layout is 105 keys.
Someday I should plug one of those in, and with the Spanish setting make a chart like I did for this board, and find it's hidden features. Who would have guessed that:
[Alt Gr]+[^] (release them) + 7 = ⁷ or
[Alt Gr]+[Shift]+7 = ⅞
Not that they are used every day but nice to know they are there.
So I could be: §€©ŧø®¹¹
"This is not the actual book cover."
Right, it's not the actual keyboard either.
Thanks for the review links, interesting read.

Typewriter fans! this might be of interest to you!
Already own a typewriter? :8 8o
I don't think any mechanical keyboard can match the tactile feedback of the typewriter! 8o
Almost makes me want to go to the thrift store and see if I can get one!

^ I was actually thinking of something like that a few days ago. Talk about a Steampunk keyboard - can't get much more Steampunkier than a typewriter connected to a PC! 8o

Don't really actually use my keyboard for much more than forums and email; functional rubber dome keyboard is functional. O:)
EDIT to add: I understand that, for coders, transcribers, and other people for whom high WPM means more $$, a mechanical keyboard is a worthwhile investment. For me, it would be a luxury. I may invest in one some day, but it's low on my list of priorities.

Cherry G80-3000LSCLXX-2 <- with blues, great if you're on a budget and you like the clicky feedback.
But i must say it's very loud if you bottom out. *Phlwack!*, not pleasant on the ears.
