Error while loading shared libraries - unreadable characters [SOLVED]

Hi all, does anyone have any ideas about a way to solve this:

/usr/sbin/gpartedbin: error while loading shared libraries: 2>wV!Ӧo
XHφݽ[	t/dȲ#y5G4
                                     Q8;CL&:)?*z$	5;
: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

And similar when update is run or when installing software, though the installed programs run ok...:

Setting up linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 (3.2.60-1+deb7u1) ...

Errors were encountered while processing:

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this, or is it a fresh install for me?

I'm using an Acer Aspire 5792 64bit, Waldorf, kernel 3.2.0-4-amd64, 4gb ram, 30gb SSD partitioned thus:

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sda 8:0 0 29.8G 0 disk
├─sda1 8:1 0 7G 0 part /
└─sda3 8:3 0 22.8G 0 part /home

I'm bound to have missed off something vital so please ask for any more info.
Thanks  smile

Re: Error while loading shared libraries - unreadable characters [SOLVED]

Well, after more programs threw the same errors and unreadable characters I gave in and did a nice clean re-install.

Now having updated & upgraded the system all is hunky dory  big_smile

Pity I couldn't truly 'solve' the issue but re-installing is certainly effective  smile
