Spending less time on the forums posting, more time reading for the last weeks. Released a first version 'drone' for the CBF Spamfilter. Since the new version of the filter is operational (April 6th), it detected 525 messages as spam. Today, I've updated the spamfilter's whitelist as well, which should mean less false positives.
Stuff I've to do today or somewhere in the next week on the forums:
- Check the 'drone' and see if it works okay, otherwise throw it in the thrash can.
- Release the fix for YAWS which will get it working again... (it crashed last week, fixed it yesterday)
- Post on support topics where I might know how to fix things, instead of just lurking.

^ Yay! While you're at it, I couldn't help but notice that the ETHCAS site still says for version 2.2, although the current unofficially official version is 3.0. However, now that you're doing some new stuff with the filter (on your end) I think it'd be a new version (3.1) & I will update my documentation immediately to reflect that
EDIT: Screenshot of my desktop with Conky running ETHCAS v3.1

Doing heavy research in journals on an economics topic. As a true geek, I either capture the metadata in Zotero and merge it into my bibtex bibliography later or export citations from the publishers' site, copying them directly into my .bib file.
Of course, oxfordscholarship.com felt the need to ONLY support exporting in RIS format. Everyone who's ever seen that format agrees that it's not really human-readable, annoying to parse (been there, done that) and just stupid (that's probably the reason why so many proprietary solutions support it).
The bibtex format as implemented by biber provides full unicode support, infinite metadata and all that in a classic key=value storage format that's easy on the eyes and can be handwritten if necessary. Beats me

^ Bibtex, eh? Sounds biblical. Like cycling bibs made from latex. Good luck.

Reminds me of when I was in Medical School doing my Surgery attatchment: a patient in theatre had a latex allergy so the consultant surgeon had to tell the (young, attractive, female) medical student assisting in the operation to remove her underwear...

How did he know she had latex underwear? ]:D
Time to move on!#

Well, so long as it's all in the name of science (& there's definitely at least two kinds of science going on here ]:D )

@pvsage Spent three seconds watching the video, & 15 minutes playing snake in the embedded player
As for everyone mocking the youth of today, here's the bit where ageism falls flat on its face: old people were young once, & young people will someday be old, so no matter how you slice it, at some point, you're discriminating against yourself.

Nah, I'm not ageist, I just like a bit of light, jocular banter! Anyway, I need you young whippersnappers to help me through the system stuff I keep forgetting how to do.
(The music was too loud though

Nah, I just think the posters' fascination with latex underwear amusing (in a cute way). Incidentally, it isn't uncommon for "professionals" (e.g. medicine) to share aspects of their private lives with each other, or even to have intimate relationships with co-workers.
