I have to say at the start that I enjoy using Puppy Linux (Lucid). The reason I use Crunchbang is mainly because of the stable Debian repos. Is there a way to configure Crunchbang so that when I start it up, I am using the Rox filer and Rox pinboard but still maintain the look and feel of Crunchbang? Conky and Tint2 are gems as far as I am concerned and are well implemented in #!. What I love about Rox is the speed, configurability and simplicity that work well for the work I do.
Looking forward to what you have to say. Thanks!!!
Cheers Randy

this is really easy to do.
since rox does not provide its own window manager.
so you can keep on using openbox & autostart.
(just make sure you disable the thunar daemon, unless you want to use 2 file managers)
also you might want to replace thunar with rox in settings --> edit default applications (not sure about this. most distros have a gui tool for "favorite apps" or some such, not #! though).
and yes, rox rocks. fyi, many years ago it was the default DE for debian.

Could it be that to change default fm in #! you would need to go the Xdg-open way!?
