Parted bug sounds like it only affects KVM environments machines. They say "Grave" but does no real damage. I am still holding out.
Interesting how far back Debian is on tracking parted. Might be nice if they were tracking the 3.x series instead of 2.3 Ah, problems with the Debian-installer and parted 3. If I ever get a UEFI mobo I would just d/l the newest gparted cd for the basic partitioning.
For modemmanager I see that the stable 1.0 series has been in existence since July of 2013.
Me - I keep trying to remove and turn off anything bluetooth related. None of my machines have bluetooth acessability. My solution for the modemmanager snag was sudo apt-get remove modemmanager

@ paxmark1 - Greetings to a prairie dog
Well ... they say it's fixed ... but not in the repos yet. That grub one has been a long time.

If you don't like having your bluetooth enabled (I know I don't), make up an /etc/modprobe.d/modrobe.conf file:
blacklist btusb
blacklist bluetooth
...works for me
