hello everyone! I recently started serious use of #! and has so far enjoyed it greatly
I've used linux variants (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, #!, Elive) in the past sporadically, but never settled for serious use of linux, since my school provides, for free, Windows-based tools such as Visual Studio, and commercial software such as Matlab and MS office.
As I am getting out of school soon, I decide to rid myself of dependencies on these commercial software. I find #! a good start, with simple and elegant UI, and most important of all, one of the most friendly and helpful user forum in the *nix world! With the help of the forum, I have finally been successful in configuring NVIDIA optimus with BumbleBee, and auto-mounting my Windows partition with proper umask flags.
I am currently dual-booting my main laptop with #! and Windows 8.1, and running ElementaryOS on my other legacy laptop (intended as a home theater PC in the future). I am sure that I will continue having fun using #! and explore the world of *nix!

Perhaps the really last hop is the base of Crunchbang Waldorf -> Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy.
