Hi there folks,
Here's my wally install:
And here's my Sid install:
Here's what I've done:
I've copied all fonts, icons and themes from #! /usr/share to debians rebuilt the font cache and ran the commands for scale etc.
Duplicated everything in both obconf and lxappearance(ran the latter both as normal and su)
Made sure the applications were set to use the same font settings.
In the pictures above, you can see that the Wally fonts are buttery smooth and I can almost feel the text caressing my pupils. On the Debian side however, the look makes me think that there's a 4 year old with a box of crayons hidden behind the face of my monitor drawing as quickly as they can.
What step am I missing that would bring the happy text over to the debian side?
Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think Corenominal uses Ubuntu's font rendering in Crunchbang, instead of Debian's. At least, he used to, not sure if it is still present in Waldorf. It's worth looking into, though
