Greetings from the Emerald Isle

Hey everyone!

I have been playing with linux on and off since 2006.  #! has been the first distro I have actually used for more then a week.  I usually break something trying to everything working on the computer and just go back to windows or mac os depending on the computer.

I have to say #! runs great, right out of the box.  I am currently running it on an older Dell Optiplex 755 with a core 2 quad with 4GBs of ram.  I needed a second computer to use while my machine runs simulations.  I found it in the scrap pile at college, with a note saying the hard-drive no longer worked.  30 minutes later I had it up and running, the e-sata port was bad.  Surprisingly there was another empty port under the power supply, weird.

Anyways, I use this computer more now than my main machine.  #! is just so light weight and works smooth.  I am hoping to share some of the scripts and modifications I have had to make to get my system running perfectly here on the forum.

Be excellent to each other!
