Are you dizzy yet? Hunting through GTK themes makes my eyes water! Nice work, thy milkshake brings all the... ponies to the yard.

Post a scrot with an example if you want another set of eyes on it. Also, I responded to your questions in the other thread.

Funny, I just noticed that yesterday. I'll see what I can see...

^Nice link!
OK, it's not you, it's me (my changes to GB in crunchy). If I take Greybird and change gtk.ss fg_color to red, it works, so I've missed something in gtk-widget.css. I'll post back...

OK, so we know it's something that, in Greybird, is defined from theme_fg_color. That will narrow the search a little.
EDIT: Missing a base state definition:
GtkWindow {
color: @theme_fg_color;
}
This will at least make it more uniform with everything else in the theme.

Sorry, where are you adding that (file and line # please)?

You mean, adding it to the base states of gtk-widgets, like before "visual effects"? -edit- OK, that's a nice quick fix! That'll do for now. Thanks for pointing the error out to me.

you could use some "marker pink" there instead of green, #FFBFB8 for example.

^ Would you prefer a Wyse amber? Besides, green themes seem to get rave reviews in the monthly screenshot threads.
Thanks for giving the theme a look. Have you run into any usability issues? (I've noticed that the active tab in Iceweasel has almost the same shade as the foreground text.)

style "panel-color" {
bg[NORMAL] = @bg_color
bg[PRELIGHT] = @prelight_bg_color
bg[ACTIVE] = @selected_bg_color
fg[NORMAL] = @fg_color
fg[ACTIVE] = @selected_fg_color
fg[PRELIGHT] = @selected_fg_color

I tried waldorf-darkly on my freshly installed wheezy, hmmmm, eeeeeewwwww! Looks like xfce-basic....

This looks like it might work nicely on my next htpc install.

@Ozitraveller: "Basic" is actually what I was going for. Simple and serviceable, with just a touch of color in highlighted text, slus a little bit of the same color in the prelights to show what's actionable when the cursor passes over them.
@chillicampari: Thank you! Coming from you that's high praise.
