[Note: I'm putting this here because I'm not sure where else it would go. A friend posted this in a Google+ group and it seems kind of neat. Or I'm just a sucker for stuff like this and I should look into cultivating more hobbies and getting out more. Anyway, I tried it and -- spoiler alert -- it gives you the #! and info about your machine in a terminal. I am pasting the message below verbatim, breaking out the commands with the code tags.]
Just found this tool screenfetch it is really nifty. It generates your distros logo and all your system info in a terminal. Get it by following these instructions:
make sure you have git installed (if you do not know how to do that on your distro use Google)
Use this command
git clone git://github.com/KittyKatt/screenFetch.git screenfetch
then
cd screenfetch
then
sudo cp screenfetch-dev /usr/bin/screenfetch
(some other way that will allow you to write to /usr/bin)
then check to ensure it is executable
ls -l /usr/bin/screenfetch
if not make it so (if you do not know how Google again)
then run it
screenfetch
and after a minute or so you will get your distro symbol.

You only found out about it now? ]:D
It's been in almost every screenshot people post here!

@Jente: Larry and I tend to be focused a bit more on the moderating aspect of this forum. I've been meaning to check out screenfetch myself, but I never got a round tuit until just now; I'm not sure I've even installed Archey since my last reinstall.
@Larry: Do you think this might be better suited for the Tips, Tricks & Scripts area?

A real good tool to make pretty looking scrots. I use a variation of mine, without distro logo. I also addes distro usage info. But it's the same code, I just put in the lines I needed and delete what I didn't need.

@Jente
oooh, I'm being adressed by my real name! Of course my intend was to be nagging on a friendly tone, however it can also be seen as a check to see if Larry does his work properly by scanning all the scots we post ]:D

Yep. I'm usually pretty busy with stuff, and I never said I was on the cutting edge of anything. Sorry, Unia. I seem to have missed the memo on this.
@pvsage -- If you want to move it, I'm find with it under Tips, Tricks, etc.

@unia: Was just trying out the first-name thing. Didn't quite feel right, so dropping it already. By the way, I never did set up that openwith extension to check all screenshots for "sinks"...that's another round tuit.

^ I remember you mentioning a preference for that a while ago.
