Please use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

... also some kind of random computer quote pulled from a file with a random selection of 10 or so computer quotes. I Have nooooooo idea how to do that though which is really starting to work me over. ...
I like a bit of bash hacking with my morning coffee
#!/bin/bash
## Output a random quote ...
Quote[0]='I started out with nothing and have most of it left'
Quote[1]='You are just jealous because the voices only talk to me'
Quote[2]='Hello there'
Quote[3]='Stupid is as stupid does'
Quote[4]='A rhino, ostrich and polar bear walk into a pub...'
Quote[5]='Do not read this'
Quote[6]='Put the keyboard down and take two steps back'
Quote[7]='Putting sunblock on a window is not the answer'
Quote[8]='Whistling tunes we sit by the dunes by the seaside'
Quote[9]='Something else'
choice=$[RANDOM % 10]
#echo $choice
echo ${Quote[$choice]}
exit 0
Save as somefilename.sh.
chmod +x somefilename.sh
./somefilename.sh
to check out what happens.
You can have conky run the script with execi or however you want.

Well, we have 3 computers, a desktop, a laptop and a netbook. I first installed #! in the netbook, and I loved it so much it's now on the desktop and laptop as well.
I've been posting images of how I customized my netbook's wallpaper, tint2 and conky, but now I'm playing with the 19' laptop. My wife is who uses the desktop the most, so it's up t her to post those.
I will post the conky .config later. Not much new in it, anyway.

Here is my new-concept conky, based on the "blood conky" from conky-manager.

@eaffon - nice setup; I may have given up on bspwm too soon.
Thanks! It got much more enjoyable after I figured out floating windows...

Where that wall is from is crazy kewl man. Desert-ish high plains at close to 1,822 meters elevation, one of my favorite parts of the commute to the ole fishin' hole. Bein' a son of of the South yourself; I think it's some pretty country you'd really appreciate. It does leave with that that Zen impression. So much with so little.
@jmad
I was really diggin' what you accomplished with that orange theme. Kind of unique dude. It is one that would be difficult to run day in day out. So much energy. Your desktops remind me alot of ole' Adcomp's mad box, an all time fave.
Pack em in snow!
