I've been using XMonad for the last 2 years, until I discovered how amazing bspwm is. This WM truly adhears to the unix philosophy, and is super stable and extensible. I have my configuration up in running in so many less lines then in XMonad, and hacking it is easy. I recommend checking it out when you get the chance.
Can you please share ALL your configs? That's impressive my friend. I'm going to install #! and it'd be nice to start working on eye candy right away

thanks all! I will try to post the conkyrc in the conky thread, though I am still struggling with the issue of text wrapping...conky is a table-oriented medium rather than a paragraph-oriented one...

nice fellow grillers.
@Pids, the sub20 did not get missed. I am however still walking with my head down. How may I ask? Yes, agree with the other q'ers, sub100? No biggie. sub50, eh not really a big deal either, sub 40,30 now we're talking some shit here. Nicely done!
still currently with bloat and cwm since d-day

^ Awesome album - Morning Star.
My favourite Hubert Laws album from that period (1969 - 1975) is probably the least acclaimed - Rite of Spring.

Most records on CTI from that period are good.

Season of minimalism is over, this summer comes with some KDE. Most of Kwin deactivated, the result is quite smooth and pleasant.
cheers,

So I've been trying to create this Paranoia (the PnP rpg) conky that should display not only the weather in text format but also some kind of random computer quote pulled from a file with a random selection of 10 or so computer quotes. I Have nooooooo idea how to do that though which is really starting to work me over.
Also I'm trying to do the same set up on Mint Xfce but since curl isn't installed it wont get any weather info so now I gotta figure out how to do that too

Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.
