Tried to install CrunchBang 11 "Waldorf" on my laptop with "Guided - use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM", but it failed. The reason is after selecting the option and starting the partitioning, the usual "enter a passphrase" option is not visible. I have to chose cancel or hit escape key for it to show and that step breaks the partitioning.
Someone found a solution to this problem?
Edit: Seem to work now. Had to wait for about 2 hours before the writing to disk to finish and then was prompted to enter a passphrase. Strange it took such a long time on a SSD? Also after enter GRUB it says:
Volume group "chrunchbang" not found
Skipping volume group chrunchbang
Unable to find LVM group crunchbang/root
Unlocking the disk /dev/disk/......
Enter passphrase:
Seems I can boot into the system and file structure looks ok. In Thunar my SSD shows as "128 GB Unrecognised", but maybe suppose to be like that? Everything seems ok tho, so have updated and enjoying using this distro.

You enabled the "secure" erase of the complete harddisk (which actually also writes a random pattern on the disk. Doing that, takes based on you're machine and the hard disk size hours up to a whole day ^.^
This step is needed, so that it is not possible to see, that only a part of you're hard disk is encrypted. Otherwise - for a possible attacker that got you're machine in his hands, it's "easier" to decide where/how many informations are on you're disk.
Hopefuly you're chosen a very long key and a good setup for the encryption - to not get the result shown here: http://security.stackexchange.com/quest … nd-low-ram
Best regards,
Sascha

Everything went fine. That's the way it is supposed to be. Naturally on boot the LVM-group can't be found since it is encrypted. So you first have to enter your password to unlock it. Have fun with #!
