I also use Linux full time at home and at work. My school told me I can do whatever I want with my work computer as long as I can teach with it and they don't have to fix it.

......also do scriptwriting, directing, lightning and camera work....
So do you use Tesla coils for that?

I used to write software for doctors. Then I was some sort of hippy. Then I learned how to fix bowling machine. If you;ve never seen the workings of a bowling machine, go find one asap and check it out. Currently im running servers and writing code for a handfull of moderatly large websites from all different corners of the internets

I had a lot of jobs already, from dish washing to manager of a restaurant, from self-employed fixing window$ machines ]:D to temporary jobs in hot summer beaches.
I'm unemployed now, the language of the country I'm living in is very difficult
I hope I get busy soon, the rent is here to stay...

I really love these forums with the diversity and friendliness. The #! community really is the nicest.
After getting my degree in Economics at UT Austin I worked in some restaurants till I got sober Then I worked as a "collection officer" for a small company that bought defaulted loans from the FDIC. After three years of that a friend that had a small consulting company gave me a copy of Delphi (object oriented pascal) and told me to get to work as a programmer. I worked with him for a few years doing custom software and then turned him on to Linux. Now his business is based on Linux! I did a year programming for a large video rental company. The last 13 years I have been a developer for a very large bank. I started doing Delphi + CORBA client server apps. Then was moved to C# web development, and at the end of last year I was sent to Java training to do sites in Java. I use Windows to make money, and Linux to live

Some friends and I started a sort of Cinema-lounge bistro thing. It's a blast to be a part of this (I'm actually the owner of it). Apart from that I'm a free-lance editor / translator as well.

mechanical engineer for a big corporation but switched a civil engineer role at a smaller one for a better location and the mrs.
civil is just more focused mechanical with actual regulations to follow instead of just don't have it fail. haha

Back on topic, my education is in metallurgy, but I work as a Linux & Windows sysadmin for an academic department at a certain large private university that just won the Rose Bowl.
