I'm not sure where to ask this, but as it's about Windows & Mac OSX I thought off topic might be the place to start.
As many of you are, I am the IT help desk for my mother (OSX) & mother-in-law (Vista). Does anyone know how I go about setting their respective computers up, so that I can log in from my machine: and what do I need on my machine to enable this?
To further complicate matters the Vista machine is connected using BT broadband and the OSX machine connects using TalkTalk
What I'm hoping to be able to do is press Ctrl+Alt+O or Ctrl+Alt+V (or similar) and log in to their computers, failing that they could click on a link to connect to my computer. Once connected, I want to be 'root' on their computers.
Many thanks in advance.
Either that or vncviewer, with some vnc crap on their computers.
Get them to switch to #! - that will make everything easier, and protect them from viruses. Plus, there is the possibility that they will become mega-hackers, spending hours every night tweaking Conky configuration files and the Openbox menu
