hi there.
I have some issues with latest waldorf release on my acer travelmate 5740
1) gnome mplayer stops usually after each song. I could not find out how to sort that out . sometimes it plays the next, but mostly not. read the man page already and ofcourse asked good old google.
2) then, waldorf (and before statler) doesnt pick up the wireless on this machine.
here's my output of lspci:

ethernet works fine, though. I googled and found out this is a common issue on some distros with this particular controller.
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43225 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
however, since it was working fine with mint debian, I wonder why it doesnt on #!, which is debian as well.

I always start with this. You probably know it already, and is probably useless:
rfkill unblock all
Offline
crunchbang@crunchbang:~$ rfkill unblock all
bash: rfkill: command not found

Its probably irrelevant. I know nothing about wifi, etc., But thought it would be nice to respond anyway. rfkill switches wifi/etho on and off. Others will be able to say if you kernel detects your wifi shizzle. But to me, in my vast unknowledge, it seems as if it does recognise. Hence suggesting this. I've always had to use rfkill quite a bit to turn things on and off.
sudo apt-get install rfkill
sudo rfkill unblock all
(more ramble...)
