This screenshot is one of gutterslob's piece of art
It really is an awesome setup. Makes me want to install Openbox just for kicks.

In Xfce, what you get when right-clicking in any blank area on the desktop depends on if desktop icons are displayed. If they are, you get the menu that I think you're expecting. But if they're not displayed, you get the main menu whenever you right-click anywhere on the desktop (other than in the panel(s), of course).
To fiddle around with this setting, go to your main menu --> Settings --> Desktop. In the Desktop dialog box, click the "Icons" tab (the rightmost of the 3, at least in Xfce 4.8). Click the drop-down box beside "Icon Type" and you can see how this works for yourself.
I really like this! How did you get the right-click menu to only show the applications?
Just who is General Failure and what's he doing reading my hard drive?

Agree with @skrite. Definitely one of the nicer i3 setups I've seen. What do those four squares/boxes in the top bar signify?
Also, if you haven't already discovered this; https://github.com/beatlog/urxvt-tabbedex
A bit more useful than stock urxvt tabbing, imho.Nice term colours, btw
Thanks for the link.
The 4 squares on top are the conky's cpu's graphs. (quadcore)
hah. didn't think you'd recognize the colors.

I've spent quite some time adding thumbnails to posts containing full sized images today. A friendly reminder to follow the posting guidelines
Time for October Screenshots! Great scrots in September, let's keep it going!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please continue to use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

First of all, I'm using Waldorf but replaced Openbox with Xfce. Pardon my ignorance if these themes were actually online somewhere and I just wasn't looking in the right place, but I always liked the default look of Statler but had been missing it. Therefore, I took matters into my own hands and re-created Statler's default GTK and icon themes, and this is also updated to work with GTK3 apps, too.
Not only that, but I have also made these themes available for download at http://xfce-look.org/content/show.php?content=154537. Also, if you would like the wallpaper, I found it at http://mywidescreenwallpapers.com/wallp … _52752.jpg. Enjoy!
Lovely, man!

Hey folks, I've installed Waldorf yesterday and I'm really glad I did... the same functionality that I had in "statler", no glitches and looks amazing. I'm really amazed at the softness the whole system has gained, and I must say compton's compositing feels really good on my desktop and my big screen monitor
Here's a thumb of my desktop:

me too. I only use it in the morning (to help wake up) or a bright environment. I've got this going for late-night noodling, when dark and low contrast is what the doctor ordered:
It's just not especially pretty, so I never bothered posting it here. I may try to pretty it up a bit, but it's very serviceable as is. Course, I have a lot of others in the middle with varying levels of dark, light, and contrast.

After seeing gutter's gtk theme blending in with everything, i sorta did the same
would blend moar if you matched the fonts, but very nice overall. It's like living in zenburn.
