To be honest I don't care what category a song falls in or who else likes it. If I like it then it's great (for me)

"Whiskey in the Jar" by The Dubliners
...and yes, I'm familiar with a lot of other versions. Whenever I run across an old "standard" that's been covered by every band 'til Tuesday - wouldn't surprise me if there's a 'Til Tuesday cover of this somewhere - I try to sample as many different versions as possible.

Same song...I think this clip was from the Ed Sullivan Show. Note (as referenced in the comments) that the audio is the studio recording. A few years ago, Ashlee Simpson had laryngitis when she appeared on SNL, so they decided to go "old school" and have the SNL band play along with a vocal guide track; the f*ck-up sound tech played a completely inappropriate track instead and Ashlee got sh*t for it, but at least it pulled the wool off of some people's eyes.
...so now I'm listening to 'La La".

^ Don't understand a word of that, but it certainly sounds fun!
"La La" reminds me of "Funeral of a Good Girl", so I thought I'd take another shot at finding another Bif Naked song - "Anything" - that was featured in an episode of Buffy. Can't find it on Youtube, but...

This song is a great example of Bif's typical emo angsty teen dramas, which made her music a perfect backdrop for "Harsh Light of Day", where Buffy found herself jilted by a serial pick-up artist.

The Cast Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Once More, With Feeling
The soundtrack from the musical episode in the final season. Considering that the cast of Buffy was not chosen for its singing abilities there are some surprisingly good performances and the whole episode was extremely well written. Much of it is gloomy and dark (as was most of that season) but there are some lighter numbers as well.
Watch out for the bunnies...
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

The soundtrack from the musical episode in the penultimate televised season.
Fixed it for ya - though it could be argued that Season 7 wasn't quite in the same spirit as the rest of the series, and that Seasons 8 & 9 in the Dark Horse comics aren't part of the series, however canonical they may be.
I know that Alyson in particular wasn't happy about having to sing (Willow's opera nightmare in "Nightmares" was allegedly derived from Alyson's own fears), though I thought she has a rather honest singing voice reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn. (Actually, there's a lot about Alyson that I find very Audrey-like...at least, before she did that horrid Date Movie.) What really disappointed me, though, was the obvious use of Autotune on Sarah's vocals.
