Smooth scrolling...everywhere!

I was not to sure where to post this but I guess it goes into Crunchbang Talk.

The other day I was talking to my boss while he was using his latest Mac and seeing him browse through files I remembered that I too would love to have Thunar (or pcmanfm) with smooth scrolling. Then I remembered I also would love to have that for conky and basically anywhere there is some scrolling happening. How come this is not implemented? Is this very cpu intensive?

What is your opinion on that folks? Don't you think your file manager (or other piece of software) would be nicer to use with this feature?

I love #! more than my own kids. I told them and they sympathized.
