I'm running Statler 2 XFCE and the only minor issue I'm having is with the super key not working. I go into the XFCE - Keyboard Settings and change to the default or my 'local' setting, and it says to log out and in again for the effects to take.
This works, but the next time I reboot into #! it has 'reverted' somehow and the super key no longer works.
Any help or suggestions would be brilliant.
Have you tried all the following: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … r-laptops/
For the love of freedom.
Thinkpad X200s CrunchBang 10a2 amd64
Get Counted #498874
sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
But that didn't work.
The other tips seem to be for openbox, but I'm on xfce.
Everything was fine on Alpha 1!
Thanks for trying.
I was having similar problems with the XFCE keyboard shortcuts occasionally being unresponsive on certain boots but not on others. I tried resetting the keyboard shortcuts and the shortcuts immediately started working again, I shall see if this survives a reboot.
Well I've now booted into #! this morning and the super key is working!!
I have done an upgrade now and it must have pulled in an update to something because I was then prompted to choose my keyboard again.
Not rebooted yet but it seems fine at the moment.
I'll see how it is over the next couple of days.
Well my solution didn't survive the reboot, the shortcuts are not working again and I am fully up to date. I searched around and found this on the XFCE bugzilla so it looks as though this is an upstream bug. The only solutions I can see are either rolling back the xfce4-settings package to some previous version or killing the xfce4-settings-helper process to get the shortcuts working again.
