I am interested in hearing from anyone with recent experience of TeamViewer. Extra points for experience of using it with our favorite distro at one end of the connection and W7 (like on my octogenarian parent's computer) at the other end.
TIA

My Dad had it working in LXLE and it played nicely with his Windows 7 system.
I later also installed it in the Debian system that I replaced LXLE with (Dad broke APT ).
I have no idea as to the specifics though as I have never used it myself.

I use it once or twice a year on Arch to help my sister or brother-in-law with their linux rig (Ubuntu mainly).
V. good for support usage.

Teamviewer can be used also via Web, no need to install application at all, enough to have a Tw account both users.
Browser must have flash player installed to establish a connection to each other.
