Google 'Pretty Earth' Satellite Wallpapers

I wanted an archive of new wallpapers to play with so had a dig around in google's Earth View chrome extension for assets.

Google freely allow downloading these wallpapers so I'm working on the theory that harvesting them is okayish usage (You could do this one by one if you had to).

1500 ish files, under a gb.

There's some beautiful places on this planet. This is the only way I'll see most of them.

a. any reason this are only 1800x1200 ?
b. no gps/location data?

Resolution is as provided by the original extension.

The coords might be available if you picked apart the js underneath it, the interface certainly does provide a google map coordinate:
