I think I'll need to work on this one...
Well, it sure is clean...

Just hide window borders and scrollbar and it is just fine.

Something's clearly gone wrong with the installation and it's almost certainly my fault
Nevermind...
EDIT: Getting there...
No volume mixer (but the sound works -- yay!), no battery icon (covered in some detail in this thread) and for some reason I have an ethernet symbol in the NetworkManager systray icon even though I am using my wireless connection (probably because I am connecting with ifupdown)

Debian Unstable using johnraff's Wally install cheat sheet, sans BunsenLabs themes and artwork.

Awesome!! I think mine is still sans BunsenLabs themes ... really liking Bunsen-Dark though - in Bunsen pre-Alpha.
SideNote: Should change your "Title" to ConkyKruncher

How much of this is the default?

How much of this is the default?
Most of it -- I'm using the most excellent "BL-Ellipses-Time" conky, I've changed tint2 to run at the bottom of the screen, changed the terminal to rxvt-unicode, changed the shell to zsh (with grml's configuration), changed xfce4-power-manager to mate-power-manager (to get a battery icon), removed the "text-editor" launcher (vim FTW!) and increased the size of the clock.
I've also git cloned dmenu from suckless 'cos I prefer configuring it at compile-time but that's not really relevant.

Not much - but close!
Changes seem to be: plain wallpaper version, Tint2 moved to the bottom, ellipse-clock conky, terminal colours, Bunsen-Blue OB theme.

Yeah I forgot about those...

BTW, does anyone know where `xrdb -merge` is being run from?
It over-rides my .Xdefaults & I have to re-call them from the autostart file.
EDIT: Nevermind, just looked in ~/.Xresources -- it's nice but I prefer mine

Slightly tweaked a fresh BL install, cos a like a little bit of colour
Tint2 moved to the bottom; conky is a grey version of BL-Ellipses-Time; theme is @hhh's Bunsen-Blue-Dark.
Shock, horror - GIMP isn't installed yet!

Nah, I'm no conky cruncher. That's more of an apt title for you.
Wallpaper is a creation of the art wizard named Ryan Bliss from his DigitalBlasphemy site. He makes his living from memberships which provide full access to all of his creations. I am a lifetime member and I'm glad I bought it when I did. The lifetime membership price has increased quite a bit from when I bought mine.
@damo: Interesting what is being done with the openbox menu by the BL team. It looks really noob friendly.

Hopefully it will head off numerous basic questions, which is why the Help section is quite extensive. Those who know their way around Openbox can easily edit it to their taste if they want, and the install options should keep the initial install size down as well.
I've grown to love pipemenus

Setup prior to BL pre-alpha script using Wally tracking Jessie. Using @hhh's...well one of his themes. Bunsen-Dark is amazing though.
EDIT: Just realized that Conky still had a #! logo on the top! Old habits...

Noticed both HOAS and damo moved tint2 to the bottom. Are there a lot of people who'd rather keep it at the top? Voices?
Of course it's an easy switch, either way.

If it is on top you get a free non-windows feeling, so top should be default imho, also it is more like #!.

Very valid points.
I only prefer it at the bottom because then the screen looks more "balanced" (ie, the window title is at the top & tint2 is at the bottom) -- my OCD tendencies should probably not be inflicted on other users...

I like it at the bottom also, unless the pannel is really thin (edit: for the balance, as hoas also pointed out).
I think it could be just a second tint config, the chooseer is already in place.

@pingu -- good work!
I was tempted to debootstrap my way up but I thought I should follow the recommendations after my first try failed miserably...
