I've noticed that we don't really have one of these threads, and I am curious as to what #!'ers buy so.. yeah.
Last purchase: book for my computer science class and one of these for the same class.
Feel free to post pics! Speaking of which
Please use thumbnails
- To help those of us with slow connections and the CrunchBang server bandwidth. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate thumbnail codes for you.
Of course use whatever service you wish, but please, get a thumbnail and use that or it will be changed by a moderator.
Avoid the large thumbnail www.imgur.com code, use the "medium" link thumbnail. An example of the code:
[url=http://imgur.com/your_image_code][img]http://i.imgur.com/your_image_codem.jpg[/img][/url]
Notice the m in your_image_codem.jpg in the IMG code block
Users have been using www.postimage.org lately which does a nice job and is Multi-lingual as well. Upload your image to the site and grab the Thumbnail for Forums (1) code.
Here is a generic piece of code if you need to create your own thumbnail:
[url=http://link.to.your.fullsized.image][img]http://link.to.your.thumbnail.image[/img][/url]
Please use the Report button to let moderators know of images that are too large. Thank you!

Instant coffee and 1/2 & 1/2, first thing this morning, forgot them when I was at the market last night.
Didn't think your thread would get derailed with the very first response, did ya'!

Man, I can't remember the last time I used instant coffee. I didn't even use it in the field while in the military, some stockings, a pot and a bunson burner made a great cup that could double as paint stripper if you were in need of any.

I know, it's lame. But I'm in a new town (Charleston, SC) and I've searched the entire peninsula and YOU CANNOT BUY A FREAKING MELITA CONE HERE! The plastic part. You can get 'em at Walmart in the burbs but that's not convenient for me. I'll get one on-line eventually but I've had bigger problems to worry about.

Speaking of which ( will a mod add the picture rules and remove all within these parenthesis after completed? )
You can also do that yourself

What was wrong with the gigabyte?

I just gave this one a purchase, as well. I believe it would have been a superior assignment had my instructor been willing to bend the rules just a bit:

Oohhhh, I never got it. Decided to go with the ASUS instead. I liked the Gigabyte mainly because of the built-in WiFi but thought I might be getting myself into a can of worms with firmware/drivers/etc.
So I bought the ASUS and the USB WiFi adapter. And I haven't been able to get it to connect, lol. Everything else is INCREDIBLE, though. I am seriously so stoked on this computer even without being able to see my network!!

My last significant computer related purchase was a Samsung 850 Pro SSD (256 GB). My system is much faster than before.

I'm buying this reprint of a Michael Crichton lecture, hook, line and sinker. Wicked sense of humor, alarming in the truthfulness of it, and poignant when he mentions weather predictions, eh Manhattan?...

Incidentally...
@burritomike: What really interests me in your last purchase is the bulk packs of LEDs and resistors. Any projects planned in particular? I never would have thought of Amazon for electronic components.
Oh, my last purchase? 12-pack of beer.

Post your last purchase!
Where to? There will be a (reasonable) charge for this service, and there is likely to be some spoilage in transit.

Oh, my last purchase? 12-pack of beer.
When I search Mouser or other electronic supply house websites it's always such a chore and since I don't really know what I am doing I get frustrated quickly and end up scrapping the whole cart and never ordering anything. Since I order from Amazon often I decided to see what they had to offer. Turns out they have quite a bit and with Prime, I mean, how can I not? Small quantities of stuff (though I didn't really think about how many resistors 1280 are at the time!) with free two-day shipping is awesome.
But to answer the question, I bought the resistors, LEDs and jumper wires so that I could do the projects in this book:
