[SOLVED]Remastersys incompatible with systemd?

So I changed to systemd, which is all fine and dandy, then I went to reinstall remastersys (I had disabled it in sources.list a while ago)

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  systemd-sysv
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  cgmanager dialog genisoimage grub-pc hwdata laptop-detect libcgmanager0 libnih-dbus1 libnih1 live-boot
  live-boot-initramfs-tools live-config live-config-sysvinit memtest86+ remastersys squashfs-tools systemd-shim
  sysvinit-core

sad

^So, damo, basically, you say that installing remastersys is a simple and neat way of removing systemd. I like it.  big_smile

Not quite I guess. It isn't removing the systemd package itself, but is restoring the shim and sysv init utilities

Re: [SOLVED]Remastersys incompatible with systemd?

Do you still have systemd as the init after remastersys is installed?

I didn't go through with it, but I'll have a go on my test box and let you know! I'd just got rid of that other stuff, and didn't particularly want it coming back again.

Re: [SOLVED]Remastersys incompatible with systemd?

Great news - I've repackaged remastersys so that it depends on either sysvinit or systemd big_smile

apt-cache depends remastersys
....
 |Depends: live-config-sysvinit
  Depends: live-config-systemd
....
