I recently did a fresh Debian netinstall with icewm. I found some dark icewm themes to play with last night and just now when I was thinking about how to deal with the GTK stuff I find you posted this.

Thanks for that, shows how much I know sad  (HowTo has been updated)

It IS possible to set the ugly default theme for a gtk 3 application by using GTK_DATA_PREFIX instead, with this

GTK_DATA_PREFIX=  <application command>

^ That isn't working either on my Waldorf box, unless installing gnome-themes-standard replaced the "ugly default theme" with Adwaita.

include "/usr/share/themes/Crux/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

#To set the icon theme
gtk-icon-theme-name = "oxygen"

#To set the font
style "Sans"
{
font_name = "Sans 16"

widget_class "*" style "Sans"
gtk-font-name = "Sans 16"
