Because keyboards are literally the tires to your computer!
I figured since I always talk about keyboards in the off topic chat thread, why not make a dedicated one? 8o
if you're interested in a mechanical keyboard and need a guide refer to this.
want to test your WPM? Go here! O:)

... and the blues win! ]:D
Having both, I prefer the blues ... now if only I can get the white backlight color of our TK's to my Blue keyboard

I know that many gamers prefer mekanos, but what do you people use for writing?

No, also a mekano's. MX Browns didn't increase my typing speed, but the feedback is much, much better than cheap rubbero's. (when Santa comes I will try MX Blue - I'm curious on the double-tap delay).
I do wish I could still use my old mac and VICTOR keyboards....

I do, but I'd have to find the right PS2 or USB adapter.

Sorry, I meant typing... I was thinking in finnish while writing typing in english.

@nore I like to type with my blues the most for writing code and all that. Browns are nice when I use my slackstation.
and on the go... if I am to be away from home for a while, blacks are amazing! ( despite being a linear switch 8o )
@Alad what is your WPM Score?
I get about 96 WPM with my Blue keyboard

^ 140 WPM with my old cherry keyboard (on a good day ); haven't quite reached that yet with my Quickfire.

Also, I'm thinking about getting some Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners for my poker II so the bottoming out wouldn't bother anyone assuming I take it to take notes 8o

My home machine's keyboard it at least 8 years old. It still works like a charm, and the W, A, S and D key labels are worn out.
I have tasted the flesh of fallen angels...

I'm still using an old Microsoft Internet keyboard that must be at least 10 years old. Every time I get a new PC, it's like, "Oh boy, a new keyboard!" But, after a few days (or less), I go back to this one.
I shopped for a Cherry Blue, but they don't seem to actually call them that. Would someone give me a model number? On Amazon, they have one that looks like the Blue, but the description still calls it "black".

From what I've seen. The CM Quickfire Rapid is a nicely-priced cherry mx blue keyboard.
I'd be buying that right now if I had the extra funds! O:)

So I used my poker II quite a bit of yesterday, while I love the black switches, I missed the tactile and audio feedback of my blues so you can probably guess what I'm using as of now

I want the full PC version: Quiet Pro keyboard - The world's quietest mechanical keyboard.
That evil laugh you hear is my wallet! 8.(
On second thought - probably no "latam" layout anyway.

This one really hit me:
http://matias.ca/securepro/pc/
The Secure Pro connects wirelessly to your computer via an AES encrypted USB nano receiver — the strongest level of encryption available in a keyboard. Even with a supercomputer, it’s been estimated to take a billion-billion years to crack.
I'm going to wrap some tin-foil around my Quickfire's cable, put a Secure(TM) label on it and sell it for 200$ on Ebay. Fill the wallet.

Yea, well you better start with: Quickfire Secure(TM) Cable v1.01 on Monday and pump out Quickfire Secure(TM) Cable v2.01 on Tuesday because everyone knows that v1.xx of anything just plain doesn't work.
BTW, I'll take 2 when v2.05 comes out.
a billion-billion years huh (italics mine):
Governments and businesses place a great deal of faith in the belief that AES is so secure that its security key can never be broken, despite some of the inherent flaws in AES.
cute ... and that billion-billion years would be if it was the "last possible combination", why with most of my passwords it would be next week.
Also that article is OLD ...
Faster supercomputer (as per Wikipedia): 10.51 Pentaflops = 10.51 x 1015 Flops [Flops = Floating point operations per second]
Check this out: 33.86 petaflops per second, almost as fast as my desktop.
I wonder if it could run #!?
