i was asked this once, "who would you bring back from the dead to have a conversation with?"
back then, i picked Billy Meier. ^_^ everyone else in the pub were picking relatives.
now i think, if language barrier was not a problem, socrates.
i wont limit this to just "to have a conversation with".
who would you bring back? for whatever reason. ^_^
(i imagine there will be some interesting answers from the #! community)

I would bring back Vladimir Lenin , so the four of us would sit and have a cup of coffee.

I see raising up the dead as an ultimate punishment for the deceased persons. Yeah, Marx and Lenin in the same room is nasty idea. Temüjin Khan wasn't that bad. Karl and Vladimir could also be guests in a talk show hosted by Voltaire.

He was my first thought, but then i though Marx might be a bit more interesting, he had thousands of philophical ideas. But yeah, Lenin is a good choice, I think if he hadn't been shot, the world might have had a better working model of communism.

Regarding "working model", we are walking on thin ice now. Let's not get excited. Staying in topic keeps moderator away.

I had to google Larry Walters, never heard of him before. Flying around hanging from a balloon is just the way to qualify as a motivational speaker.

You know, if you hit them at 50-60mph they fall right into the optimum working range of your suspension --- you just glide over them...

Ahhhh this is a no brainer ... I'd bring back me. Cause if had to do this sillyness, that'd mean I was dead. And thus bringing myself back, I'd have a new lease on life and a second chance to rule da known world.

Leonardo da Vinci. We would speak Latin.
"So son, considering it's been half a millennium, I guess we've already got people living on the moon" --
"Hrrrrm actually our state budgets for killing and fending off each other are maybe a hundred thousand times of what we budget for space exploration and education so no" --
"I see same ol' same ol' but know what? I've done that before" Moves on to build another one of his war machines, just that this time it involves lasers, cold fusion and a flux capacitor.
The shame.

I think I see a temporal paradox in your scenario.
As long as nobody starts yelling and screaming about "human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, horses eating each other" etc., this mod has no quarrel with this thread.

One of the first MythBusters episodes featured the Lawnchair Balloonist; the episode coda had Jamie saying that Larry would be the one person he'd bring back. Also, balloonacy is relevant to my interest. 8o
