Great screenshots again in June. Let's do the same for July!

Please use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

I just installed CrunchBang earlier today after quite some time with Fedora. I can't believe how fantastic the font rendering is, it's like the words are literally printed onto my screen! I've been toying around with options where I can find them and came up with this.

Like a few more here, I'm also drawn into GNOME Shell all of a sudden:
Can the clock be disabled? It surely wouldn't belong on my desktop.
These days I'm spending most of the day on a 2-monitor mac setup at work ... no screenshot yet because I've got the machine not here right now (will deliver some time later). I have to say, it his actually quite a nice device, too (after installing homebrew: tmux, wget, macvim, iterm2 etc pp): Except for Unix design principles having been violated in horrible, horrible ways (tried configuring wifi from the command line? ifconfig? No! networksetup).

^ Pretty sure it's easily done via an extension. The unix design principles is also something a little voice in the back of my head keeps repeating; Gnome + systemd is really pushing it on that end. However, we can't be stuck in the 80s forever! I think it's time to advance the Linux desktop and perhaps to do so, we need to let go of some principals.

Try freetype-freeworld from RPMFusion to get the same in Fedora.

You're right; there are some extension HowTo's to change or remove the clock.
Is your dragonfly wm still on hiatus?

The icon theme comes with a script to change the colours. I just matched it to the gtk theme.

I've learned a very important lesson yesterday, there is absolutely no place like home ( on the Crunch Pro at least lol ).
1000th post too!

Yes, it is. It probably will be for good, I just leave it on my GitHub for others to see (perhaps I inspire someone to continue development).

As promised, here is a scrot of a htop of one of the very nice Linux servers on which I am spending most of my time lately. It runs a minimzed version of Ubuntu Server. Forgive me the selective censoring ^^
If there is something about Linux I have noticed lately, it's the vast discrepancy between what superb server-grade technology is available with Linux/what is possible, and what extraordinarily small fraction of that functionality desktop users actually employ day-to-day, like when using their #! desktops. After spending days on setting up some black magic, I read through our nice forums here and cannot help but think "Really. That's a problem?" (I even do not dare speak of posting screenshots :-). This is in no way meant to be derogatory; it just highlights that there are innumerable applications of computer tech, and that these fields of applications are quite diverse.
