I think we are in danger of getting this thread /closed if we continue.

Listen. Can you hear that? It's the gentle sound of me not giving a shit about long-winded posts full of deities and pseudo-intellectual abstractions.

Don't mind me. Bore on.

At this point the thread is dangerously close to becoming "On Topic" about a topic that like politics should not really be discussed here.

Please stop the religious/religion talk now.

What part of "secret" don't you understand?

I don't even know who the candidates were.  But probably a toss up between Stuart and Mark

Re: Completely Off Topic Chat

My gran just died. She was 90. She had four children and numerous grandchildren and more great-grandchildren than you could shake a stick at. She (having lied about her young age) had been an ack ack girl in the British Army during the Second World War. Is it sad? I don't know. We don't (in spite of my threats to the contrary) live for ever. I think she had quite a good innings.

you being Canadian? (I'm still not sure to your real nationality) I'd thought you'd reference Terrance and Phillip though minions are cool too! I got both movies and theirs too.

Of course it is sad, but if she left the world a better place, and was content with her contribution, that must be a consolation.

There was a standing ovation after the eulogy I gave at my dad's funeral - there were 3 generations of some families there that he had taught. I think that he certainly made a loved contribution to many. I'm sad but proud smile

Re: Completely Off Topic Chat

Thank you.

As a child I could take old people dying because you didn't really know what they were or what to make of them. But as an adult, I realise we are all old people, and it's harder.

As Cats said "You have no chance to survive. Make your time." Let's not fall out over the existence/non-existence of God while there are still conkies to be configured.
