True! It happens quite often to see spam messages by newly registered "members" (bots!?).
I have just realised that the registration does not include a CAPTCHA, is it time to implement it!?

We should report it, yell & scream our warnings at passersby on the street, sound any & all applicable alarms, & yes, I think it may be time to distribute tinfoil hats
Those who would trade essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither

I'm allergic to aluminium; can I have a cast iron one? Preferably with a handle, then I can smack them in the face with it!
Oh that skillet over there looks good!
But yea, it's getting to flood levels now.

Anyone else notice that spambot just now that snuck in and posted 5 SEO messages back-to-back? No? Good, I got it in time then.

Now that's a Monty Python I've not seen before - shame on me!
The only good spam is the spam fried on an open fire beside a small river in the morning and then cut into little chunks and put on the hook for fishing!
Of course you won't catch any - fish aren't stupid, they don't like spam either - well except for piranha, they'll eat anything.

You mean these:
aslamali has posted a new topic 'wife in hand 91+8239794094 husband vashikaran specialist babaji'
Sorry but the #! mailer is faster than you.
It's not how fast you get them, it's if they are on the system, the mailer sends them.

...and it's the start of the usage
Spam
The term was supposedly coined from a Monty Python comedy sketch in the early 1970s, in which every meal in a restaurant contained SPAM (Hormel's processed meat). The sketch came from World War II when SPAM was always available in England while other foods were rationed.

I just read that these spam bots could possibly be more sinister than we previously thought. Just thought I'd let everybody know.
Now back to the tinfoil hats. I'll need liasons to handle distribution centers in Europe & the US west of the Mississippi & south of the Mason-Dixon line . . .
Those who would trade essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither

OH MY! So every post up there could be a misrepresentation of the Spam problem!
I blame Maple Leaf Kilk and Canned Unicorn Meat, Spam's two siblings.
Distribution of tin foil hats - I'll cover Argentina, Chile Uruguay and Brazil if needed!

Ok, I've got the great state of Ohio, & our honorable moderator pvsage has the carolinas covered.
Thusfar, great progress people!
We still need someone for Western Europe, though, & time is not on our side on this one, gents. 8.(
EDIT: @Sector11, The situation is much worse than we thought. The Canadian Spam has been assimilated, with no outstanding consumer alerts at this time!

Might I point out at this point that it's SPAM, never Spam, SPam, SPAm, sPAM, spAM, spaM or spam. All capital letters
@hinto: that video is a crucial piece of computing history that I had not seen before; thanks for posting it

There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.
