Tip: Installing YAD

Yad (yet another dialog) is a fork of Zenity with many improvements, such as custom buttons, additional dialogs, pop-up menu in notification icon and more.

Download

Just in case anyone goes to install this and hits a brick wall on compiling:

Install libgtk3-dev and intltool from the repos, then YAD will compile, make and install

That's all smile

Re: Tip: Installing YAD

YAD has moved from google to sourceforge - new page is YAD | SourceForge

Latest source download is here

If you want to install it from a deb package, pkgs.org has yad Download(DEB,RPM,TXZ). These are ubuntu debs, but I have installed 14.10 successfully on both waldorf and jessie with dpkg -i

Why o why isn't yad in any Debian repo yet? It is lightyears ahead of zenity!
