Have set up 2 terminator windows as background on Desktop4, with my usual tint2, and a simple conky using a logo from an image by hellocld. Can't remember where I got the wall from :8

This is my modified fork of dwm, based on dwm 6.0. I linked it directly to libmpdclient and wrote a function for volume and playback control via mpd, which keys can be assigned to in dwm's config.h. It also incorporates a number of 'official' patches. The code is at https://github.com/2ion/dwm.
I recently discovered the Noto Sans font, which is quite clean and scales very well https://code.google.com/p/noto. I use it for UI and the plain sans font in the browser (also on my Android phone). It's nearly perfect. I use the infinality patches http://www.infinality.net for libfreetype however, so I guess my font rendering is generally more sexy than on most Debian machines and the font might appear less pleasant to you.

My work laptop, JWM on Debian Wheezy, mild/conservative customization. Just enough to get things done. I haven't even thought about Linux for the past 6 months or so since it's just been working for me like a charm :-D Thus explaining my prolonged absence.
I happened to install Kubuntu on my Mac Mini... pictures to come in the future... which reminded me about Linux forums and stuff...

Giving dwm a try, just to try something different from i3 for a while.

I really like the colors and overall setup! Probably one of my fav brown tops seen here. I could go with just that brown on the wall as a solid color and no gfx even.
Pack em in snow!

A quick shot. Testing semplice linux. Beautiful, fast BUT my memory usage starts with 3 digits and i want 2 at start up. 8 gb ram and i want to start with less than 100 MB in openbox.
Not weird at all.
I chase low memory usage at boot myself

Nothing really quite special yet, mostly just been playing with conky, but I just got #! installed yesterday, so I'm sure this will evolve over time.
Mostly don't like the look of the top bar but first few things I've tried made it look worse so it'll take some work.
