Re: September 2013 Screenshot Thread

Well, if it really IS Guake, then it is a different version of what I already use... It could also be a Terminator version newer then what you have by default in Waldorf/Wheezy repos... I have already used it in a similar fashion in Ubuntu before, but Waldorf comes with an older version, that doesn't support "quake mode". I guess I should just find a way to upgrade that package. :-)

There are 2 movie references on that screenshot, from 2 of my all time favorites: The ship is the "Event Horizon". Let's see if you (or anybody else) can figure out the other one... tongue

I've finally found a lock screen that allows me to put a digital clock widget (lock screen widgets only came in Jelly Bean 4.2).

I spent a more time than I care to share digging into Droid over the years. (and just about all the others as well) Your post made me recall a unique widget in the stock ROM package under the SOURCERY project. I didnt dig too deep, widgets = security concerns. (unless you remaster the app & permissions) The application had a lot of DIY interface for creating/building exactly what you want and deploying it exactly where you want it. I think the devteam called it quits earlier this year, but the tools they offered, and gaps packages for each release  - awesome. If your in the Droid rabbit hole - you might want to check the last release and see if the GIT is still maintained. Which also reminds me; they had really good GitMgmt for a relatively small RomDev. I might even have copies of the code somewhere if you wanted to pull down some tools from XDA and back into it. I'll dig in deep and find some info if you cant. All this assuming you have rooted device, right?

... and just like that - my first #! post. I wont even admit how long I've been around. (i feel like I know you all) ... But Droid doesn't come up much. Hope the suggestion works.

@Inodoro - i'll have to give up. i'm hoping it's a film that i've never seen before, because.
a) I won't feel embarrassed, and
b) I get a new movie recommendation.

Hmmm... the movie is almost 20 years old...

Either way, I want to know if Sector11 gets it. If he doesn't, I'll tell.

Just as a hint, it's starred by an insanely cute girl...
