reinstalling Grub

Hey guys I want to change from the grub that #! is using to Ubuntu grub since it looks ugly compared to the grub that Ubuntu has. But when I use boot-repair in Ubuntu using the recommended repair option I always boot to the #! grub. even though the boot-repair has returned successful repairing ?

Re: reinstalling Grub

Figure out which drive in /dev is the computer's hard drive. You can do this with

sudo fdisk -l

It'll likely be sda. Run

sudo grub-install /dev/sda

Do all this from Ubuntu.
