Hi guys, I'm having an issue with 1st boot script.
I have connection but nothing is installed.
I get the "test connection is passed" and then continues to the next steps until the end.
I tried 3 times and nothing.
I'll install using Synaptic, just wanted to share this.
Just for the record, I tried it in Live and everything was fine.

I wish I had noticed this thread before you pointed it out today; I think I know what happened. When the script ran `apt-get update`, it probably failed to fetch data from the repos, so there was nothing for the remaining steps to install. I've seen this happen myself. (The "failed to fetch" thing is a fairly common occurrence that most often has to do with repo maintenance at Debian's end.) Scrolling up in the terminal window would have confirmed whether this was what's going on.
Frankly, I think that if APT encounters "failed to fetch" errors or other difficulty during the `apt-get update` it should let the user know, explain how to run the script again in the future, and terminate.

on one of my installations i had to run it a few times to get it to run.

Okay, that explains it.
But no problem, I ran Synaptic to install everything I wanted and it worked just fine.
Thanks for the reply.
