Forgive me if this isn't the right forum for this -- I couldn't decide on where this should go and this is how the flipped coin came up.
This is what I get for minding my own business on a Sunday afternoon: Someone e-mailed me and said Spotify was available for Linux now, so I went to download it:
http://www.spotify.com/us/download/previews/
One caveat: It seems to pull a lot of stuff along with the Spotify browser thing which some may or may not want. I went back and #-ed out the Spotify updates in /etc/apt/sources.list just because I don't really plan to keep it. But it works OK on CrunchBang on this ZaReason Alto 3880 laptop.
I have a ton of music assigned to my work computer (a Windoze box at the newspaper) and this allows me to sign in and listen to it. Time to drive my daughter crazy with Dylan, the Dead and The Band.
So if having Spotify appeals to anyone, there you go.

Tim talked about it here with Spotify for linux, no more wine!.
I have used it some and it works, but it does not do much more for me. It is a lot of horse to do such a minor thing, IMO.

OK, then. If one thread already exists, I'll close this one and urge everyone to pick up the conversation here:
